Tommy L. Webster, Music & Worship, Senior Adults Pastor

E-Mail Tommy L. Webster

Tommy Webster grew up in Sandersville, GA and found a love for music at a young age. After beginning piano lessons in the 6th grade, Webster taught himself to play the organ and began playing for and leading revivals around Georgia at the age of 14. His love for church liturgy, traditional and contemporary music, and his passion for worship - led him to respond to a call into church ministry after leaving Andrew College. Webster is a soloist, a songwriter, and a member of the American Guild of Organists. He met his wife, Katie, when they both served on church staff in Warrenton, VA. In 2007 they moved to Georgia and welcomed their daughter, Olive, in 2008. They continue to work as a team in their call to ministry - and are grateful for their incredible church family at Springfield UMC.

Tommy believes that worship is more than the songs we sing or listen to - but the way we respond to God in all aspects of our lives. He is grateful for God's grace in his life and continues to work to find worship in every detail. The scripture he turns to often is, "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." - Ephesians 5:19-20
